Nobu Miami is the Miami outpost of Chef Nobu Matsuhisa's new Japanese cuisine empire. Nobu draws upon his classical training at sushi bars in Tokyo and his life abroad in Peru, Argentina, and around the world to create a whole new trend in Japanese cuisine, bringing a burst of excitement to the already famed scene of Miami Beach. Located in the Nobu Hotel at Eden Roc, Nobu adds an extra level of class and sophistication to the iconic hotel. Nobu Miami now offers patio seating as well as an exclusive Teppan Room. Nobu's signature dishes such as Yellowtail with Jalapeo and Black Cod Miso are served to throngs of fans, proving that in the end, it is all about the food.

Job Description
Highly acclaimed, Nobu Miami Beach is looking to expand the Front of House team. We are looking for Host/Hostesses who are professional, hard working and have the ability to multi-task. We are a fast paced restaurant, all host/hostesses must be able to follow direction and maintain a welcoming personality. We deal exclusively with VIP clientele and expect our staff to represent our restaurant. He or she must be committed to our guests, reliable to his or her co-workers and be self motivated, organized, and detailed individual. Effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, speech and behavior are all required for this position.
The Restaurant Host/Hostess assists the Maitre D and managers coordinate the activities of the dining room. Ensures exceptional and courteous service to our guests.
The ideal candidate for this position has at least one year minimum of experience in an upscale restaurant or relevant qualification in the hospitality industry. Good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position. Basic computer knowledge, with experience with Microsoft Office and Open Table.

Responsibilities
Manages guest reservations and greets and seats guests on arrival
Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service
Manages supplies and ensures orderly work areas
Prepares deposits and maintains a cash management system
Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies
Maintains complete knowledge of the restaurant features, cuisine, general information and hours of operations
Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company standards, policies and procedures
Ensures Open Table is managed in a professional manner
Reviews all reservations and communicates all special requests to managers, servers and kitchen to ensure prompt and courteous service
Qualifications
Minimum of one year experience in upscale restaurant or relevant qualification in the hospitality industry
Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
