Troon Country Club is looking for a host/hostess to join our team! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to our members and guests. Seasonal, part-time positions are available. Job Summary: The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for members and guests at Troon Country Club's dining facilities. This role is responsible for creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere while managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries with professionalism and efficiency. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet members and guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
Ensure all tables are set up correctly before members' arrival.
Manage reservations and waitlists using the club's reservation system.
Escort members to their tables and present menus.
Answer phone calls, respond to dining-related inquiries, and relay messages to appropriate staff.
Take To-Go orders
Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen, and management to ensure a smooth dining experience.
Monitor dining room activity and help maintain cleanliness and order.
Maintain knowledge of all menu items, events, and club policies.
Assist with special events, or other front-of-house duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a host/hostess or customer service role is preferred, but not required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Friendly, professional demeanor with a commitment to high-quality service.
Must be able to lift up to 20lbs.
