Administrative Assistant
The Montana Department of Corrections (DOC) is creating a safer Montana through Accountability, Rehabilitation and Empowerment. The Administrative Assistant position supports the efficient operation of the facility, contributing to programs and services designed to aid offender reentry into the community. Duties include but are not limited to:
Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Responding to and routing inquiries and information requests.
Entering data and uploading documents into the offender management system.
Preparing and managing documents used for offender intake and management.
Operating and monitoring office equipment.
General administrative tasks to assist the facility's Operations Manager and other staff.
This position is located in a correctional facility and will have daily interactions with residents of the facility.
Qualifications
The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:
High School Diploma.
Two years of experience performing a variety of office support or clerical work.
Other combinations of education and experience may be substituted. Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
