Administrative Assistants
The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation, Management Services Division, is seeking two reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistants for year-round seasonal positions, working up to 35 hours per week. The ideal candidates must be motivated individuals with strong communication skills and attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and have a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset. Additionally, the candidates must be highly organized, professional, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. This position will pay at a rate of $17.42/hr. $26.66/hr. based on experience and qualifications and the work schedule is Monday-Friday.
Examples of Important Duties
Provide administrative support to Divisional units prepare correspondence, organize meetings/conference calls, reserve conference rooms, prepare meeting notes, and coordinate training/travel requests. Coordinate catering as needed.
Greet and assist visitors, manage mail, supplies, and reception functions
Deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Coordinate office procedures, supply inventory, and workflow
Event coordination location/room logistics, AV needs, meeting invitations, prepare materials and information packets, gather attendance sheets, coordinate catering, etc.
Prepare, process, and maintain various records and confidential information
Ensure timely, accurate completion of administrative tasks in compliance with policies
Conduct routine inspections and manage service or maintenance requests
Use sound judgment and initiative to maintain efficient office operations
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Four (4) years of experience working in the administrative field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
Strong attention to detail, time management, and multitasking abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional demeanor and customer service orientation
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Preferred
Proficiency with Adobe software (Acrobat, Sign)
