You support our team as Design Engineer - Dry Gas Seals
Responsibilities
Design innovative seal series and sealing systems for international turbomachinery customers, primarily for compressors.
Create and revise sketches, assembly drawings, and test‑cell drawings using company drafting standards, ensuring qualification and validation of compressor seals.
Ensure seal designs meet customer specifications and align with design handbooks, CAD templates, and engineering best practices.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Application Engineering, and Sales to resolve design issues and support product development.
Serve as the technical lead for seal selection, application engineering, and standardization of compressor seal series, including development of next‑generation solutions.
Perform engineering calculations (heat generation, system loads, flow rates, torque, holding power) and maintain engineering databases, drawings, and bills of materials.
Act as the primary technical contact for Sales, Production, customers, and international development teams while supporting joint collaboration with partners, institutes, and suppliers.
Deliver projects on time while working cost‑consciously, customer‑focused, and contributing to sustainable, emission‑free solutions for future energy infrastructure.
Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Fluid Mechanics, with 3+ years of experience as a mechanical design engineer.
Proficient in 3D CAD software (preferably SolidEdge/Teamcenter) and experienced with Microsoft Office tools.
Strong foundation in engineering principles, material properties, and basic knowledge of sealing technology, centrifugal pumps/compressors, and industrial products in the Oil & Gas sector.
Experienced with engineering databases, SAP (preferred), Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and computer skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, confident customer‑facing demeanor, and effective teamwork within global organizations.
Highly organized with strong planning and time‑management skills, able to work independently with a self‑driven learning mindset.
Open, communicative team player with a collaborative approach and the ability to perform in cross‑functional engineering environments.
