Inventory Specialist
A Day in the Life: An Inventory Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory records and driving timely execution of manufacturing orders. You are responsible for entering data into the operating system, verifying product movement, and performing inventory counts aligned with production schedules. Tasks include keying manufacturing orders, tracking labor assignments, processing transfers, and reconciling finished goods and raw materials. The inventory specialist operates directly within warehouse operations and ensures inventory precision through cycle counts, adjustments, and documentation. Work hours may extend based on production demands and period closings.

Inventory Control and System Execution
Keys manufacturing orders, transfers, and labor assignments into the operating system with precision
Receives finished goods and returns of raw materials in alignment with production activity
Performs cycle counts and inventory audits based on current manufacturing orders
Maintains inventory records and enforces adjustments to ensure stock accuracy
Operational Coordination and Documentation
Works directly with warehouse teams to monitor product movement and resolve discrepancies
Coordinates with management to align inventory procedures with production objectives
Executes clerical tasks such as filing invoices and maintaining inventory documentation
Carries out annual inventory processes and physical count procedures
Math Precision and Technical Skill
Applies advanced math skills including percentages, addition, subtraction, and division
Proficient in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet applications
Operates standard office equipment and warehouse systems efficiently
Work Ethic and Task Ownership
Completes daily tasks before end of shift and adapts schedule based on production needs
Demonstrates reliability and consistency in meeting deadlines and maintaining data integrity
Takes appropriate actions within established guidelines to support team performance
Receives direction and maintains a focused, results-driven work environment
Physical Capability and Communication
Able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, and/or sit frequently or throughout the shift
Communicates clearly and directly with team members and management to resolve inventory issues
Operates effectively in varied temperature environments for extended periods as needed
Core Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of six months warehouse and inventory experience
Experience working with a manufacturing environment operating system
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet applications
Strong math skills, including percentages and basic calculations
Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures
Ability to read, understand, and execute written instructions and documentation
