Product Owner
GDIT is looking for product owners with experience in Oracle/Cerner Ambulatory, Laboratory, and Core solutions to join our IHS Healthcare IT Modernization Program. The product owner partners with clinical specialty stakeholders and technical teams to define, design, and deliver enhancements to clinical solutions. This role owns the product vision and backlog, supports enterprise workflow standardization, and ensures solutions meet clinical and operational needs across multiple domains.
Primary Responsibilities
Engage clinical specialty stakeholders to review current- and future-state workflows and document solution requirements.
Translate needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlogs that support product roadmaps.
Configure clinical solution functionality and content; validate that solutions meet design intent and enterprise standards.
Support enterprise deployment and standardization of clinical workflows across the laboratory venue.
Partner with training, validation, technical, and sustainment teams to enable successful implementation and adoption.
Identify and mitigate solution risks and issues; escalate as needed for resolution.
Execute workflow and process improvement strategies to enhance usability, efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
Provide subject-matter expertise throughout the product lifecycle, including discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, and optimization.
May supervise or mentor team members.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field (additional years of experience may substitute for degree)
8+ years of experience with Oracle/Cerner Laboratory, Ambulatory, or Core solutions required
Experience with clinical workflows and healthcare technology solutions
Hands-on experience configuring clinical system content and functionality
Ability to analyze workflows, document requirements, and validate solutions
Experience with Agile/Scrum processes, backlog management, and user story creation
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 5
Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of an Oracle Cerner certification program (equivalent to 3 years of experience)
Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with multiple priorities
Experience with enterprise-scale clinical system deployment
Background in product ownership, clinical informatics, consulting, or solution architecture
Familiarity with revenue cycle, training, or technical implementation teams
The likely salary range for this position is $96,569 - $130,651. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Travel required: 10-25%. Telecommuting options: remote work location: any location/remote.
