Design Engineer Drainage page is loaded## Design Engineer Drainagelocations: Empire State Building, New York, New Yorktime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR5474**STV is seeking a Design Engineering Specialist to assist on hydrologic and hydraulic analysis within our Transportation Group based in our New York City, NY office.****This position requires design of stormwater management systems, pipe conveyance systems, resilience and green infrastructure.**\*\*\*\*\*Sponsorships are not available for these positions\*\*\*\*\***Key Responsibilities:*** Drainage Design Engineer for public and private stormwater projects from inception to Final Design.* Interact with agencies for coordination of drainage design necessary to obtain agency sign-offs and permit approvals.* Assist the management team with development of strategies for scope and schedule for the delivery of technical reports and design documents.**Qualifications:**Candidates must have a degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university.* Engineer-in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain is required.* Previous experience in the design of stormwater management systems, pipe conveyance hydraulics, and green infrastructure practices; hydrologic and flood hazard analysis a plus.* Previous experience performing analysis and design of drainage systems to meet agency permitting requirements including assistance in the development of SWPPPs (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans).* Previous experience in modeling programs including HEC-RAS, TR-55, SWMM including hydraulic analysis of culverts and bridge structures.* Previous experience and/or background to learn sanitary and stormwater pump station design.* Previous experience using stormwater management design techniques required to meet water quality and quantity requirements including flow restriction and mitigation techniques.* Knowledge or NYSDEC, NYCDEP, NJDEP and Army Corps permitting a plus.Compensation Range:$86,464.77 - $98,816.88**STV offers the following benefits** • Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) • Disability insurance • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • 401(k) Plan • Retirement Counseling • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Time Off (starting at 16 days) • Paid Holidays (9 days) • Back-Up Dependent Care (up to 10 days per year) • Parental Leave (up to 80 hours) • Continuing Education Program • Professional Licensure and Society MembershipsSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
