Global Executive Development (GED) is seeking a strategic Principal, Communications, to shape and execute communications that support the development of Amazon's most senior leaders across all business units. From crafting compelling program narratives and executive-facing content to building scalable communications strategies for flagship development programs, you will be a critical partner in bringing GED's mission to life. The ideal candidate is a skilled storyteller with a bias for action, has strong writing instincts, and demonstrates the ability to translate complex leadership development concepts into clear, engaging messages for senior audiences.
Key job responsibilities
Develop and execute integrated communications strategies that support GED's flagship offerings ensuring consistent messaging across all touchpoints and audiences
Create compelling, executive-ready content including program narratives, leadership communications, talking points, and speeches for senior stakeholders
Build and manage editorial calendars and multi‑channel content plans that align with program milestones, registration cycles, and organizational priorities
Partner closely with program managers, HRBPs, and business unit stakeholders to translate complex leadership development concepts into clear, engaging communications for senior leader audiences
Own communications for new program launches and strategic initiatives, including developing positioning, stakeholder messaging, and change communications as GED evolves its portfolio
Establish scalable communications frameworks, templates, and standards that enable consistent quality across GED's growing suite of programs and career‑stage pathways
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of communications efforts, using feedback and engagement data to continuously improve content strategy and delivery
Support the development of thought leadership content that reinforces Amazon's Leadership Principles and Day 1 culture, contributing to GED's role as a center of excellence for executive development

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience effectively communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication
Experience influencing C-level executives
10+ years of professional communications, public relations, or public affairs experience
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in communications or equivalent
Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field
Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to develop communications strategies for senior executive audiences, with a track record of translating complex, nuanced topics into clear and compelling narratives
Background working in or alongside HR, talent, or leadership development functions, with an understanding of how communications supports organizational and people strategy
