The Mount Sinai Health System is currently seeking Full-Time Ophthalmologists to join its multi-specialty practice in Manhattan, Long Island and Brooklyn! The multi-specialty group has four facilities located in Huntington, Nesconset, Bayshore and Commack. This role will be located in Huntington, at a new state-of-the-art facility which opened in the summer of 2018. Long Island is full of beautiful communities with excellent school districts, art museums, restaurants, and concert venues. Additionally, Manhattan is only a short drive or train ride away. Mount Sinai Doctors Long Island offers comprehensive care through its sites and is comprised of 77 physicians representing almost every medical and surgical specialty. Additionally, this site has a full imaging center, state-of-the-art accredited office endoscopy center, and on-site Laboratory, as well as a comprehensive support team, including RN's and MA's. This position will cover three locations in Manhattan . At Mount Sinai Doctors - West 57th Street, this location combines a complete range of health services in the convenience of a Midtown location. Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Terminal and St. Patrick's Cathedral are all among the world's most recognizable destinations. Another practice will be located on West 53nd Street and 8th Ave. Hell's Kitchen is a neighborhood that is considered to be bordered by 34th Street (or 41st Street) to the south, 59th Street to the north, Eighth Avenue to the east, and the Hudson River to the west. Hell's Kitchen has become an increasingly upscale neighborhood of affluent young professionals as well as residents from the "old days." Ninth Avenue is noted for its many ethnic restaurants. There are more restaurants and food carts and trucks on Tenth Avenue between 43rd and 47th Streets. Hell's Kitchen's side streets are mostly lined with trees. A newer park in Hell's Kitchen is the Hudson Park and Boulevard, which is part of the Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project. Mount Sinai Doctors Brooklyn Heights, a multi-specialty practice in a state of the art facility, is currently seeking a full-time Ophthalmologist to join its practice in Downtown Brooklyn! Mount Sinai Doctors Brooklyn Heights is a multi-specialty practice in Brooklyn dedicated to providing exceptional "whole person" healthcare. The large multispecialty practice is located at 300 Cadman Plaza West, Brooklyn, NY 11201 serving a diverse community. The practice is in the heart of Brooklyn Heights, which is a short walk to DUMBO, downtown Brooklyn, Cobble Hill, and Carrol Gardens offering an endless array of restaurants, nightlife, and shopping. Brooklyn waterfront provides parks, ball fields, and playgrounds with possibly the greatest view in NYC. Additionally, there are premier school districts, public and private within walking distance of practice, as well as numerous cultural activities such as the Brooklyn Academy of Music and Mark Morris Dance Studio. Mount Sinai Doctors Brooklyn Heights offers comprehensive care where patients can see various specialties including allergy, cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonary, endocrinology, pediatrics, Ob/Gyn, dermatology, urology, renal, all at the same site. Services offered include on site lab, radiology plus comprehensive Breast Cancer Screening (FNA), ultrasound, X-ray, CT scan, and cardiac testing. The site has a comprehensive support team, including MAs and LPNs. The ideal candidates will play an instrumental role in ensuring excellent patient care, quality outcomes, and satisfaction. Position Responsibilities: Diagnose and treat wide range of eye diseases and conditions Performing necessary surgical procedures, including examinations both before and after surgery, as well as instructing patient on self-care to improve recovery Provide health education and counseling and establish preventive health practices Initiate laboratory, radiology, and pathology exams and specialty consults as necessary Exercise judgment in establishing priorities of medical care and consult with and refer to appropriate specialist in regards to high risk or complex patients Fosters a professional, collaborative work environment with all team members and colleagues Participation in Quality Improvement (CQI) program and clinical projects for practice improvement when requested. Provide case management with other health care team members Position Qualifications: Medical Degree from an Accredited University Ability to obtain a New York license Board Certification or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology Active DEA license and BLS and ACLS certification Demonstrated professional competence and integrity and ethical conduct of practice Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, bedside manner and organizational skills Patient focused and committed to providing outstanding and compassionate care and service to all patients A strong work ethic and desire to participate in team-oriented, performance-driven Health System Strong computer skills and EMR knowledge Compensation range from 300K to 400K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits) Salary Disclosure Information: Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.
