Responsibilities
Peraton requires a Communications Planner to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. Position is located at Peterson AFB, CO.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end‑user who operates around the globe 24x7x365.
Typical duties include:
Analyzing and defining systems, functions, processes and user needs for a wide variety of projects.
Performing technical assessments aimed at improving client systems and updating system requirements based on changes in operations or policy.
Creating documentation such as policies, procedures, workflows and user guides.
Analyzing and performing functional allocations to identify tasks and their inter‑relationships, incorporating user needs, and performing research and functional analysis on a variety of projects.
Identifying and recommending resources required for task execution and completion.
Developing new systems or updating existing systems to meet client needs.
Serving as a technical advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommending functional changes, and identifying areas for further investigation.
Generating recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel.
Consulting with clients to determine optimum design for assigned projects.
Identifying emerging relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes and systems.
Writing and updating project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials.
Providing guidance and work leadership to less‑experienced analysts, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
Serving as a technical team or task lead.
Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.
Participating in special projects as required.
Providing excellent analytical solutions to problems and effectively communicating them to the customer and team.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
HS + 12 years of experience OR AS with 10 years of experience OR BS + 8 years of experience OR MS + 6 years of experience.
At least 4 years of related experience of intensive and progressive experience in the candidate's field of study and specialization.
Working knowledge of network and information exchange technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, RESTful, SOAP, HTTP).
Familiarity with system engineering processes and techniques.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level is required.
Target Salary Range
$80,000 – $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
