Program Overview
Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period.

About the Role
Peraton requires Systems Administrators (GCCS) to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM. This position is located at MacDill AFB in Florida. The purpose of the SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order is to provide USSOCOM and related organizations with Operations and Maintenance services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps), maintain systems and network infrastructure, provide end‑user and common device support, provide configuration, change, license, and asset management, conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and the end‑user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

Responsibilities

Installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades

Analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues

Configuring, optimizing, fine‑tuning, and monitoring operating system software and hardware

Performing system backups and recovery

Conducting server builds

Establishing complex operational databases, software configuration control and system interfaces for computer systems related to customer Global Command and Control Systems

Maintaining file servers, network access; documenting, analyzing and troubleshooting system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance

Performing audits, operational analysis, and risk assessments

Making recommendations for enhancing services

Researching operational issues and providing mitigation recommendations

Formulating and developing policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

Minimum six years with HS diploma, four years with AS/AA degree, two years with BS/BA degree

A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required

DoDD 8570.01‑M IAT II

A minimum of two years of related experience

Thorough understanding of all aspects of Operations and technologies

Able to multitask and work well under pressure

Stay abreast of industry developments and applicable Government regulations

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong analytic and problem‑solving skills, excellent judgement and self‑motivation

Work independently with little to no supervision researching new technologies or comparing technologies to meet the customers’ need while providing an unbiased opinion

Working knowledge of network and information exchange technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, RESTful, SOAP and HTTP)

Experience with GCCS Family of Systems (FOS)

Desired Qualifications

Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator or

Linux Professional Institute Linux Essentials or

Level 1 GCCS‑J Unix System Administrator

Details
Target Salary Range: $66,000 – $106,000. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
