
Distribution Design Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Distribution Design Engineer to support the planning and execution of electrical distribution projects. This role is responsible for developing high-quality design packages, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring designs align with engineering standards and project requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop and modify electrical distribution design drawings using industry-standard design tools (e.g., AutoCAD)
Produce accurate, construction-ready design packages to support field execution and project delivery
Collaborate with engineering, project management, and field teams to ensure alignment on design scope, standards, and timelines
Apply engineering principles to troubleshoot design challenges and optimize system performance
Review and validate design work to ensure compliance with utility standards, safety requirements, and quality expectations
Support ongoing project needs, including revisions, documentation, and coordination with stakeholders
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience with electrical distribution design, preferably within a utility or consulting environment
Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design software
Familiarity with utility standards, processes, and workflows is preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
