Schedule
Flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. 9x80 every other Friday off.
Responsibilities
You will provide leadership, functional management and technical direction to a team of approximately 12 engineers responsible for electromechanical engineering research, design, development, and production support for the Harness Core Team.
As a Associate Manager of Cable and Harness Design, you will provide the functional directorate, program management and your customers’ effective project management, accurate and detailed plans and schedules, and efficient production support. You will also be capable of furthering the department’s development, growth, and expertise.
Key Activities
Provide leadership on a fast paced team from requirements through development and production.
Ensure coordination between functional groups during the product development life cycle.
Communicate technical status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and functional leadership as well as externally to the customer.
Conduct personnel management for a portion of the NGI Wiring team.
Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection, and training.
Assess performance, assign work, manage salary, and administer recognition/disciplinary actions.
Participate in technical reviews and audits.
Qualifications
Staffing and headcount management experience.
Control Account Management (CAM) experience within an Earned Value Management (EVM) system.
Obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; US Citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related STEM discipline, or equivalent experience focused in STEM project engineering leadership, or an MBA degree.
Prior experience in Control Account Management (CAM).
Prior experience as a project/program lead.
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require the ability to obtain government security clearance.
Desired Skills
Experience in leading Zuken schematic/cabling drafting tool (or similar) and Creo 3D modeling tool (or similar) design teams, programs, or projects.
Collate with subsystems, survivability, environmental, and other specialty engineers to develop unique cables for various space products.
Experience in presenting to leadership and customers in design reviews and technical interchange meetings.
Security Clearance
This position requires a government security clearance; US Citizenship is required. Clearance level: Secret.
Pay Rate
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s final work location.
