JCW is recruiting a patent counsel on behalf of an exciting drug discovery company in the NYC area. This role involves guiding IP strategy, managing the patent portfolio, and overseeing outside counsel.
Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing a patent strategy.
Collaborating with the scientific team to identify patenting opportunities.
Managing outside counsel on patent preparation and prosecution.
Qualifications:
J.D. and USPTO Registration.
Ph.D. (Master's degree will also be considered) in organic chemistry is ideal. Other chemistry experience OK.
4+ years of patent prosecution experience at a top law firm or in-house.
