Base pay range
$90.00/hr - $95.00/hr

Contract Rate: $90-95/hr on W2; $95-105/hr on 1099
Salary Conversion: $190-200K, DOE
Location: Bethesda, MD
Hybrid; 3 days/week onsite work is required
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card/Permanent Resident
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance is required
Summary:
Immediate need for a techno-functional Senior Security Engineer to take the lead on an Optimal ZTA (Zero Trust Architecture) implementation and tackle challenges related to cloud security and AI for a federal government client.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Develop the security framework and architecture and improve the protection of sensitive data through advanced security measures for a Federal Organization that meets federal laws and standards.
Regulatory Compliance: Develop the security framework and architecture and ensure full compliance with data protection laws and industry standards, which reduces the risk of legal penalties.
Research reputable vendors and their offerings in AI-driven threat detection, anomaly detection, and behavior analytics; establish an AI-enabled security tool implementation plan.Create implementation plans with service area stakeholders to roll out new functionality that addresses ZTA pillar function requirements.
Qualifications include, but not limited to:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
8+ years of experience in Cybersecurity with a heavy focus in ZTA security engineering & architecture.
Requires proven experience delivering Optimal ZTA Implementations at a “Fully Advanced” Maturity Level (Zero Trust Maturity Model)
Technical SME in implementing ZTA with strong hands-on skills & experience across all 5 Pillars: Identity, Devices, Networks, Applications & Workloads, and Data
Fluent in explaining how to implement cross-cutting capabilities like Visibility and Analytics, Automation and Orchestration
Experience developing & implementing ZTA strategies for Federal customers is required
Understanding of AI from a security perspective
Proven ability to create and maintain complex Splunk dashboards that meet the needs of various stakeholders
Strong understanding of security principles, including threat modeling, risk assessment, and incident response

CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
