Our client is seeking an experienced
Integrations Lead - Zero Trust
to support a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) client, specifically aligned with USCIS initiatives. This role is responsible for leading enterprise-level integration and maturation of
Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA)
capabilities in accordance with federal standards.
The ideal candidate will drive cross-functional collaboration, guide engineering and architectural decisions, and ensure delivery of secure, scalable, and compliant solutions aligned with
NIST SP 800-207
and DHS Zero Trust requirements.Key Responsibilities
Lead enterprise-wide integration and implementation of
Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA)
capabilities
Provide technical leadership across
engineering, architecture, and vendor-agnostic solutioning
Guide cross-functional teams to deliver program outcomes aligned with DHS/USCIS objectives
Support system design decisions for
secure network architectures and identity-based access controls
Evaluate and integrate
cybersecurity technologies , ensuring interoperability and compliance
Advise stakeholders, including senior leadership, on Zero Trust strategy and implementation
Conduct risk assessments and design mitigation strategies for complex environments
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, Public Administration , or related field
Minimum
8+ years of experience
in cybersecurity and information technology
Strong experience supporting
federal cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements
Preferred Certifications (Highly Desirable)
At least one active certification:
CCIE Security / Wireless / Data Center / Routing & Switching
CCNP Security
OR equivalent certification (subject to Federal Program Manager approval)
Preferred Experience
Endpoint security and posture validation using
EDR tools
Authentication technologies:
MFA, PAM, ABAC
Network engineering and security across
routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers
Cloud security experience across
AWS, Azure, or GCP , including hybrid environments
SIEM/SOAR tools such as
Splunk
or
Swimlane Turbine
Risk analysis, network data analysis, and secure architecture design
Strong communication skills for both
technical and executive audiences
Knowledge of federal standards:
FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53
Core Skills & Competencies
Hands-on experience implementing
Zero Trust frameworks at enterprise scale
Deep understanding of
NIST SP 800-207
and DoD Zero Trust Reference Architecture
Experience across multiple
Zero Trust pillars
(identity, device, network, application, data)
Expertise in micro segmentation
and workload isolation techniques
Strong knowledge of:
SD-WAN
SASE (Secure Access Service Edge)
ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access)
