
Business Development Assistant

Michael Best & Friedrich LLP is seeking a Business Development Assistant to join our Denver, Milwaukee, or Waukesha, WI office.
What You'll Be Doing
Provide general support to the Business Development team.
Support and assist in the management of BD opportunities, including sponsorships, across the firm.
Support several practice/industry events across the firm with the BD Managers and Marketing Events Manager.
Run day‑to‑day client queries for the firm to provide client insights through tools like Aderant and Legal360 (CRM); or working with firm finance or Information Services for more in‑depth reporting.
Update marketing and business development budget database and provide budget update reports on a monthly basis to each internal group.
Update and maintain the MBD team announcement checklist to ensure tasks are complete.
Conduct data entry for tasks including accolades support and deadlines.
Update the firm’s intranet with marketing & business development related items, as assigned.
Meeting & scheduling assistance for internal team meetings and/or events and conferences.
Other day‑to‑day special projects, as assigned.

Knowledge Base & Education
Bachelor’s degree required: marketing preferred but will consider other business focuses.
Advanced level proficiency of Microsoft applications.
Use of Aderant, PowerBI, and/or Legal 360 a plus.
Proficient in using virtual webinar platforms; GoToWebinar, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom experience is a plus.
Ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices as the position evolves and firm needs change.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team.
Ability to develop relationships and foster teamwork at all levels of the firm.

Compensation Range: $45K - $55K
