
TEMPORARY Communications Center Customer Service Representative – Denver, CO.

Job Summary
This is a temporary position (9 months or less) at an hourly rate of $20.00 per hour. The role is responsible for providing accurate, timely responses to public inquiries received via the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Communications Center, including phone, mail, and email inquiries. All new hires will participate in E‑Verify. The position must use judgment and extensive knowledge of CPW programs to determine the best reference for each request and to formulate clear, accurate answers.
Responsibilities
Act as an agent for the Communications Center, researching and formulating answers to inquiries received through “ASK CPW,” phone, mail, and email.
Disseminate information on Colorado State Parks, wildlife‑related resources, educational materials, and customer assistance regarding OHV, boat, and snowmobile registrations, hunting, fishing, and camping.
Answer specific questions about the status of customer accounts and troubleshoot basic issues with the CPW computer systems.
Assist in training new employees as needed.
Assist with processing chronic wasting disease reimbursements and contacting hunters regarding positive results (as assigned).
Qualifications
Must be 16 years of age or older.
Must have a current, valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
Must be willing and able to work 40 hours per week.
Must be available Monday through Friday, 8 AM–5 PM.
Preference for candidates with or working toward a Natural Resources degree or similar education.
Previous experience working with the public is helpful.
Strong interpersonal communication skills to deliver excellent customer service.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
Bilingual language skills helpful but not required.
