THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON BID AWARD
The Sr. Operations Research Analyst DSO will provide functional and specialized support to the Branch, Section, and Division Chiefs in execution of AFRL division duties.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and clarify management objectives.
Apply information technology in the form of advanced analytics, mathematics, and simulation models to solve business or other applied problems.
Define data requirements, evaluate data quality, and analyze project data to determine specifications and/or requirements.
Analyze, collaborate, and prepare recommended solutions for resolution of problems.
Prepare management reports defining and evaluating issues and risks with recommended solutions.
Maintain functional or specialized knowledge and resource sharing within/across functions, technologies, and staff organizations.
Standardize work, processes, and best practices within/across divisions.
Track, monitor, manage, and control contract cost, schedule, and performance to align with directorate and division mission requirements.
Retain functional expertise.
Assist in integration support.
Handle all official records IAW AFI 33-322, Records Management and Information Governance Program
Work can be done independently or monitored by senior employees to ensure compliance with proper procedures

Qualifications
Master of Arts (MA)/Master of Science (MS) in Cost Estimating or Cost Analysis
Minimum twelve (12) years’ experience in the respective technical/professional discipline.
Minimum five (5) years' experience in the DoD, OR
Bachelor of Arts (BA)/Bachelor of Science (BS) in Cost Estimating or Cost Analysis
Minimum fifteen (15) years’ experience in the respective technical/professional discipline
Minimum five (5) years experience in the DoD, OR
Minimum twenty (20) years’ of directly related experience in Cost Estimating or Cost Analysis
Minimum eight (8) years experience in the DoD
Possess Active Top Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability in managing multiple complex and time-sensitive Science & Technology (S&T) projects simultaneously, from concept to initiation through the development and transition
Experience in assessing the maturity of emerging science and technology and its applicability to Department of Defense (DoD) missions.
Possess understanding, communication, coordination, prioritization, file maintenance, database management, and report and presentation development for diverse audiences.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft (MS) Office Applications (Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Skype, Teams, and Word), Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, Zoom, and applications for access to the World Wide Web (WWW) including MS Internet Explorer, Edge, Google Chrome, and Firefox.
Knowledge and understanding with G-suite and other common, cloud-based services.
Ability to use commercial or specialized computer applications
Ability to present a clean, neat, and professional appearance within the USG-assigned facilities and in virtual meetings
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy and the ability to maintain good working USG relationships.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee may use repeated motions that include the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Estimated Salary/Wage
