Technical Account Manager, Food & Nutrition
IMCD US is seeking a motivated Technical Account Manager to support our Food & Nutrition business across the Pacific Northwest. This role is ideal for a results‑driven professional who excels in technical sales, relationship building, and business development within a dynamic, customer‑focused environment. As part of a global leader in specialty ingredients, you will help grow market presence and deliver value‑driven solutions. Candidates must be based in the Pacific Northwest to be considered.
Responsibilities
Setting, regularly reviewing and revising Call Frequency Schedule
Meeting call plan set for each account
Maintaining existing business / profit contribution
Maintaining and reporting on business on a regular basis, reviewing variances and taking action as required
Ensuring margin contribution is maximized and maintained
Developing and progressing targets; responsible for progress on existing targets and identifying new targets, achieving new business and adding new opportunities consistently
Building and cultivating customer relationships; thorough understanding of the customer’s business, multi‑level relationship development, involvement of other IMCD personnel, and timely reporting
Follow guidelines for information required for existing business reports and target business reports
Accuracy and thoroughness of product/activity reports
Other duties as assigned
Skills
Customer relationship management
Establish connections between customer and CSR’s to ensure day‑to‑day fulfillment, requests, issues are resolved timely‑efficiently
Complex organizational skills to coordinate and communicate between multiple customer contacts, internal resources and Principals
Develop prioritized account growth plans, including annual forecasting and budget
Manage account profitability – profit contribution
Deliver assigned sales KPIs (call/visit frequency and reporting, opportunity targets and updates, revenue, margin, prospect accounts, maintaining clean CRM data)
CRM compliance against Call Prep and Product Reporting – action items and account updates
Complete account coverage by Principal
Active participation in local industry events, trade associates, etc.
Execute sales activity relative to slow/dead stock
Monitor contract balances and advise customers of inventory still to be shipped
Required Qualifications
Minimum of one to three years’ experience in technical sales; distribution experience preferred but not required
B.S. Degree in Science, Food Science, Business or relevant field of study
Proven experience in organizing sales calls and schedules, and detailed reporting
Proven track record in developing and maintaining client relationships
Proven track record in developing new sales and accounts
Desired Qualifications

Competency in SFDC, Sales Management Systems, and Microsoft Office or equivalent
Exceptional skills in developing and maintaining client relationships
