Seasonal Shipping Staff

The responsibilities of the Seasonal Shipping Staff will consist of but are not limited to the following:

• Prepares outbound shipments by assembling, protecting, labeling and determining best method of shipment
• Scan and assemble orders for shipment and complete packing slips, bills of ladings (BOL's), and shipping/driver logs; unload/load merchandise
• Enter data into a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other computer programs
• Sort outbound cartons, maintain shipping lanes and process outbound cartons using small parcel shipping
• Ensure timely completion and shipment of product from outside vendors
• Ensure accuracy and count of products selected

High School Diploma or Equivalent required, additional education is a plus. Minimum of one year experience in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution center environment with strong work ethics and a high degree of excellence. Prior working experience in a production, distribution, and warehouse environment. Basic knowledge of computer skills in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to learn proprietary programs. Prior experience in the use of warehouse material handling equipment and tools. Good communication and people skills are required with excellent command of the English language. Demonstrated ability to motivate, encourage, and lead team members. Must have strong commitment to quality and ability to provide outstanding customer service. Excellent attention to detail, ability to follow directions and apply problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies. Highly motivated and high initiative in providing proactive efforts in seeking solutions to problems and willingness to take on new tasks, challenges, and opportunities. Must always maintain a professional and positive attitude with the highest level of customer service. Must possess good judgment and fairness when making decisions, and in coordinating and assigning work to team members. Must be goal oriented and task driven to meet deadlines. Possess a sense of urgency to work in a time sensitive, fast-paced team environment. Ability to work in all areas of production in the shipping department and other duties assigned by management.
