Business Development Manager - Defense/DOD Are you ready to put your defense industry expertise to work on the front lines of innovation? We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager with proven experience in defense contracting and business development to drive growth for our tethered drone systems. In this pivotal role, you’ll leverage your deep understanding of DoD procurement, acquisition processes, and your existing network to secure contracts and expand our footprint across the U.S. Department of Defense.

What You'll Do:
Hunt, capture, and secure new DoD business opportunities
Drive the full capture lifecycle—identification through proposal and negotiation
Engage senior defense decision-makers, primes, and acquisition officials
Navigate FAR/DFARS, OTAs, and contract vehicles to accelerate deals
Represent the company at major defense industry conferences and symposiums
About You:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Prior military acquisition experience (FA51, DAU certifications, contracting) or proven defense BD track record
Proven track record of identifying, pursuing, and closing significant contracts within the defense community
Well-versed in C4ISR technologies and defense tech trends
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Able to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
Hold an existing DOD clearance or eligible to obtain a DoD Clearance
