Overview
Background: Our client is a large medical device manufacturer of surgical robots and capital equipment. They are looking for a principal level Mechanical Engineer to assist multiple teams with different types of design and testing work. This individual must have electromechanical design experience and experience with medical device design, cabling, and molding. Reliability Engineering experience is beneficial but not required. The candidate should have an injection molding and molding part design background. EMC testing is not required for this role, but experience would be very beneficial to support the electrical engineering team.
Responsibilities
Assist multiple teams with different types of design and testing work in electromechanical and medical device contexts.
Contribute to design activities involving cabling, molding, and injection molding part design, and support related engineering efforts.
Collaborate with electrical engineering teams; EMC testing experience is beneficial but not required.
Qualifications
10+ years of Mechanical Design Engineering experience within the Med Device space
Experience with capital equipment and robotic instrumentation products
Strong SolidWorks background
Cable and harness design experience
Injection molding and molding part design background
