What You Will Be Doing
As the Structures Design Engineer - F35/F22/F16 you will be responsible for delivering high‑performance structural solutions for advanced fighter aircraft.
Your responsibilities will include:
Perform and review airframe structural configuration layouts and detail designs, including structural layouts, preliminary sizing, joint layouts, and part design using CATIA v5 with metallic and composite materials.
Execute and review changes to CATIA models, drawings, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate integration for structures and systems design, collaborating across disciplines.
Design and BTP release of external tanks, pylons, and pods for the F‑35, F‑22, and F‑16 platforms.

Who You Are
You are a collaborative, detail‑oriented engineer with proven experience in structural design using CATIA, and a strong grasp of metallic and composite materials. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment, translating concepts into manufacturable solutions, and you understand the critical nature of defense aerospace programs.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN -This position is located at a facility that requiresspecial access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secretclearance to start.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical
Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent 3‑D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
Microsoft Office skills
Excellent Written and Oral Communication skills
Desired Skills
Experience with CATIA V5 Fibersim
Experience with metallic and composite design
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
PDM Tool Familiarization
Security Clearance Statement
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Part‑time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
