It’s HammondCare.***About the role**The Design Manager is a senior technical role providing client-side design authority, advising Consultants, supporting Project Managers, and ensuring robust governance design through HammondCare’s Project Delivery Framework.The role ensures that design outcomes are compliant, cost-effective, well-coordinated and aligned with HammondCare’s mission, design principles, operational requirements and long-term asset strategy.***This is a permanent full-time role based at St Leonards with hybrid opportunities.*****What we can offer you**We care about your wellbeing at HammondCare and as a result offer a wide range of health and lifestyle benefits including:* NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefit (up to $2,650 tax free)* Additional leave purchase options and 14 weeks paid parental leave* Flexible working options, including hybrid arrangements* Discounts on everyday products and services* Discounted healthcare memberships - access to network of fitness centres and pools for employees and families* Free access to independent counselling support for employees and families* Health & Wellbeing programmes* Reward & Recognition programmes* Referral bonuses* Career and professional development opportunities**Key Responsibilities include*** Support project feasibility, briefing and early design development aligned to operational and care requirements.* Act as HammondCare’s client‐side design authority across all design stages.* Collaborate with and advise multi‐disciplinary design consultants to achieve quality, compliance, cost and programme outcomes.* Prepare, review and govern design documentation and gateway deliverables in line with the Project Delivery Framework.* Support tendering and construction delivery, including design risk management and RFI responses.* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, authority approvals and HammondCare design standards.* Champion sustainable, evidence‐based design outcomes and continuous improvement through post‐occupancy review**About you*** Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action* Degree qualification in Architecture or a related built environment discipline* Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in architectural design, design management or client-side delivery within construction, property or infrastructure environments* Strong knowledge of the end-to-end design and construction process* Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary Consultant teams* Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and report-writing skills* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.**Desirable Experience*** Familiarity with planning legislation, and authority tracking in a construction environment* Familiarity with Australian planning and building approval processes* Aged Care or healthcare industry experience* Experience working client-side or within not-for-profit organisations* Knowledge of sustainability rating tools and energy-efficient design principles* Experience using project management systems and document management software* Knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes**To Apply**If you are ready to make a difference with HammondCare, Apply Now!
