
Legal Assistant

LHH is working with a large defense firm that specializes in labor and employment law.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate legal support services including document filing, billing, calendaring, and communication with internal teams
Draft and format legal documents, including TOCs and TOAs using Best Authority
File legal documents electronically with courts and agencies
Maintain case management systems and assist with client matter intake
Manage attorney contacts and submit task logs
Support administrative tasks including transcription, document printing, and assembling
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of legal administrative experience (labor and employment law preferred)
Strong time management and multitasking skills
Advanced proficiency in MS Office, Adobe, Outlook, and legal software systems (e.g., NetDocuments, Forte)
Knowledge of ECF procedures and court rules
Familiarity with legal terminology
What we are looking for
5-10+ years of litigation experience
Bachelor\'s Degree (strongly preferred)
Experience working for a defense firm
Labor and Employment law (defense side) experience
Medium-large firm experience
The Annual Employer Contribution includes a 401(k)-matching contribution of 50% of your salary deferral amount up to 5% of your annual eligible compensation and may include a discretionary profit-sharing contribution up to 7.5% of your annual eligible compensation
401K Matching – 50% of salary deferral amount up to 5% of eligible compensation
3 weeks PTO (you have to accrue it) + 10 paid holidays
Annual discretionary bonus
Health Savings Account – HDHP participants may elect to save pre-tax for deductible or other healthcare costs. Employer funded (January and July) $500 for individual and $1,000 for employee + 1 or more for full year participants. Health Savings Accounts offer a triple tax advantage
Waiver Benefit - Those declining enrollment in the bundled health plans receive a monthly waiver credit of $100 upon proof of other coverage.
