Help Desk Assistant – Provides phone‑based assistance for the IT department and logs all help‑desk requests. The role requires strong customer‑service skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

Job Responsibilities

Answer phones enthusiastically and log help requests for the IT department.

Ensure that all IT requests are properly received and recorded in the Help Desk database.

Practice patience and compassion when interacting with the company’s internal teams.

Communicate effectively with the IT team to pass on important information.

Coordinate with other departments regarding IT technical issues to ensure prompt resolution.

Perform various support tasks such as basic supply purchasing, login assistance, and other duties as assigned.

Assist with onboarding/offboarding, account creation/removal, and FAQ maintenance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Excellent phone skills – a must.

Time‑management skills – ability to handle a list of requests with varying priority.

Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel.

Top‑notch written and oral communication skills.

Attention to detail.

Accountability and flexibility – willingness to adapt to changing duties.

Calm, methodical working style, with the ability to stay on task under pressure.

Compensation

$14–$17 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm with flexibility and overtime as needed.

One Saturday per month.
