Position Summary
This position will provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys handling cases from inception through trial. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing a fast-paced litigation desk.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare, revise, and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and trial materials
File documents electronically in state and federal courts and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines
Manage attorneys’ calendars, including court appearances, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
Manage litigation deadlines including calendaring and monitoring
Electronically maintain and organize case files and administrative information
Coordinate service of process and communicate with courts, opposing counsel, clients, and vendors
Assist with trial preparation, including all trial documents and witness materials
Perform general administrative tasks as needed to support the litigation team
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a
Litigation Legal Secretary , with significant experience in personal injury litigation
Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court filing requirements
Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); experience with case management systems preferred
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
