Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Oracle SQL/PLSQL Developer to convert and modernize existing Mainframe SAS-based processes into optimized Oracle SQL/PLSQL solutions. This role involves analyzing legacy SAS workflows, designing Oracle data-processing logic, ensuring efficient and accurate migration of business processes to the Oracle platform, supporting the creation of a Java-based user interface for process maintenance, and collaborating with the technology manager for project updates.
Key Responsibilities
Convert and migrate legacy Mainframe SAS processes to Oracle SQL/PLSQL.
Analyze existing SAS workflows and redesign logic for Oracle.
Ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability of Oracle solutions.
Build and enhance a Java-based user interface for ongoing process maintenance.
Utilize Python for automation, data processing, or migration support as needed.
Collaborate with the technology manager for reporting, planning, and delivery oversight.
Use JIRA for work management within an Agile or hybrid environment.
Support team members in a collaborative, delivery-focused environment.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills
Expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
Experience with Mainframe SAS or COBOL.
Working proficiency with Python.
Experience supporting or integrating with Java-based applications.
Familiarity with JIRA or similar workflow tools.
Professional Attributes
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Proven team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality technical outcomes on time.
