The Opportunity
As the Marketing Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to provide day‑to‑day management of projects including risk management, stakeholder communications and interdependencies between projects while driving the execution of marketing plans that position Black & Veatch’s brand, value, solutions and services.
The Team
Black & Veatch’s Enterprise Evolution consists of critical functions focused on identifying market opportunities and bringing together our client‑facing and growth efforts. Functions include Enterprise Marketing & Communications, Enterprise Sales, Enterprise Strategy, Innovation, Mergers and Acquisitions and Sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Direct the flow of work for the full lifecycle (brief to delivery) of marketing projects across commercial and functional marketing teams, as well as enterprise‑wide enablement.
Managing incoming requests in the project management tool and determine if all requirements are met and evaluate the viability and scope of work.
Manage project evaluation and implementation across functional marketing teams (Creative Services, Website, Marketing Automation, Social Media, Content, Communications, etc.).
Manage interdependencies or dependencies between projects.
Evaluate workload across execution teams, prioritize time on active projects and help to identify and navigate project barriers.
Create, monitor and provide ongoing reporting and communication of project progress to appropriate stakeholders.
Manage administration of the project management tool as well as the investment in the tool and vendor relationship.
Continually evaluate project management tool and process effectiveness and integration possibilities across all enterprise tools and platforms.
Manage and evolve project management process documentation.
Identify risk areas and recommend alternate strategies to leadership that address concerns.
Coordinate and manage projects staffed with internal and freelance resources, contractors and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of the internal processes and workflows involved with managing complex marketing projects.
Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding communications and problem‑solving skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in an agile creative or marketing environment.
Strong collaboration and teamwork.
Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to drive consensus with multiple stakeholder groups.
Extensive experience working in a project management tool.
Experience working within Office 365.
Experience with reporting and use of metrics to track and measure effectiveness.
Strong understanding of marketing campaigns, channels and tactics.
Experience working with and communicating with executives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
4+ years related experience.
