Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Tax Accountant
to join our team. This role involves preparing individual and business tax returns, performing bookkeeping services, and assisting clients with their accounting needs. If you enjoy working in a close-knit team and want to make a real impact, this is the opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and small businesses ( ~ 200 returns expected for each employee--should provide current similar experience )
Perform bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance for clients
Assist with payroll and sales tax filings as needed
Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and answer questions
Stay current on tax laws and regulations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA or EA preferred, but not required)
1–3 years of experience in tax preparation and bookkeeping
Proficiency in QuickBooks and tax preparation software
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and client service skills
