Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in an area relevant to the position with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in an area relevant to the position with 6+ years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
ActiveTS/SCI or SCI eligibility and active polygraph or ability to obtain a polygraph
Security+ or other IAT II/III level certification that is currently active (DoD 8570 compliance)
Experience with database management and analytics platforms, including SQL and cloud platforms.
Advanced programming knowledge and expertise in tools like Apache and Hadoop.
Proficiency with visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Kibana.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience working in government contracting, especially in database development for federal agencies.
Familiarity with NRO data management or Authorization to Operate Processes (ATO).

Peraton is seeking a highly motivated Database Engineer IV to partner with stakeholders and collaborate with mission owners to build efficient, reliable, and scalable database solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in database engineering, data visualization, and programming tools to develop and support mission-aligned initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Build, manage, and optimize robust database systems to support high-priority mission needs.
Design and maintain data pipelines for large-scale data ingestion and analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve database performance and schema design.
Leverage Apache, Hadoop, SAS, and Tableau in data analytics and engineering efforts.
Maintain and enhance databases for real-time analytics and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Kibana, PowerBI, and Grafana.
Develop tools and applications with programming languages like Python, R, C++, and SQL.
Ensure data integrity, compliance, and adherence to Peraton policies and standards.
