Role Overview
A leading packaging business specialising in corrugated solutions is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across Kentucky, with a strong focus around the Lexington area.
This is a highly commercial, field-based role centred on developing new business, growing key accounts, and strengthening market presence across sectors such as food & beverage, e-commerce, retail, and FMCG .
You’ll adopt a consultative, solutions-led approach—working closely with design, operations, and production teams to deliver tailored corrugated packaging solutions that meet both customer and supply chain needs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a regional business development strategy across Kentucky
Identify, target, and win new business within key industries and local markets
Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and decision-makers
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close and implementation
Work closely with internal teams to deliver cost-effective, innovative corrugated solutions
Provide insight into market trends, pricing, and competitor activity
Represent the business at customer meetings and industry events
Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting
Skills & Experience
Proven track record in corrugated packaging sales or a closely related sector
Strong knowledge of the Kentucky market and regional manufacturing landscape
Experience selling into sectors such as food & beverage, distribution, or e-commerce
A consultative sales approach with the ability to uncover and solve customer challenges
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, driven, and comfortable working autonomously in a field-based role
