Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Human Resources (HR) Recruitment Manager, this position serves as a Human Resources Analyst within the recruitment unit, with primary responsibility for conducting comprehensive employment reference and verification reviews for candidates in the hiring process. The position ensures that all reasonable and available avenues to contact prior employers have been exhausted in order to make good-faith efforts to obtain employment verification and professional references.
Job Duties
Conduct reference checks, file reviews, receive hiring packets from central office and field liaisons, and verify accuracy of information. Ensure all phases of the hiring process are completed. Provide completed packets to Recruiter for job offer.
Serve as administrative support to recruitment unit; assist with day-to-day work such as contacting candidates, monitoring the file review and reference request unit mailbox and preparing files.
Support the DCS Management System by participating in team huddle meetings and tracking data and metrics for area of responsibility. Attend job fairs to support recruiters.
Other duties as assigned as related to the position.

Pre-Employment Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. Requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver license, must maintain acceptable driving record and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12). Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintain valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration. Must be able to pass a Central Registry Check. If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Driver’s License Requirements. All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
