Duties
Work alongside Preschool Teachers to provide an enriching experience for children in the classroom.
Help implement the curriculum in a way that promotes creativity and learning.
Lead and facilitate interactive activities like games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling to foster children's physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development.
Support positive behavior by setting clear and consistent rules.
Supervise meal times, outdoor play, and free play, ensuring the children's safety and well-being.
Requirements
At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of MODS (Introductory Child Care Training, Part 1 & 2) is required.
Experience working with preschool-aged children is a plus.
A team player who works well with others and is able to engage with children both indoors and outdoors for extended periods.
Available to work Monday through Friday.
Pre-employment drug test and Level 2 background screening required.
Physical Demands
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and bending.
Occasional lifting/moving of up to 40 pounds.
Must be able to focus on close vision, distance vision, and depth perception while interacting with children.
Ability to actively engage in planning, leading, and participating in activities.
Pay & Perks
Part-time, $14.75-$20.00/hour, depending on experience. FREE YMCA membership for employee and discount for family.
