
Collections/Account Manager

Chapman Automotive Group is hiring an Auto Collections / Account Manager to join our team! We’re looking for a professional, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is skilled in customer communication, negotiation, and account resolution.
In this role, you will manage a high volume of inbound and outbound collection calls, support account resolution efforts, and work closely with internal teams to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction. This is a great opportunity to grow your career within a dynamic auto finance environment.
Full-time position | $21-$23/hour (DOE)
What You’ll Do
Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound collection calls
Negotiate payment arrangements while maintaining professionalism and compliance
Follow established collections call models and techniques
Perform skip‑tracing to locate customers and update account information
Accurately document all account activity and customer interactions
Process payments via check‑by‑phone and ACH
Use basic math skills to resolve account balances and payment plans
Meet monthly performance goals set by management
Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, including de‑escalating difficult situations
Support the Collections Manager with daily operational tasks
Perform additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 2 years of collections experience in sub‑prime auto finance
Working knowledge of FDCPA regulations and applicable state laws
Strong negotiation and problem‑solving skills
Ability to handle difficult or irate customers with professionalism
Excellent communication and active listening skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Ability to multi‑task, including speaking with customers while documenting notes
Experience with skip‑tracing preferred
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
Schedule & Work Environment
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional Saturdays
Onsite role in Scottsdale, Arizona
Office environment with a high volume of phone‑based communication
Fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting
