Public Affairs Planner - Journeyman
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Public Affairs Planner - Journeyman to join our team! In this role you will contribute to the development of Public Affairs inputs for OPLANs, CONPLANs, campaign plans, and supporting annexes, applying originality and independent judgment to align narrative themes and messaging requirements with commander objectives.
Responsibilities Participate in Joint Planning Process activities and operational planning teams by presenting Public Affairs equities, supporting synchronization of messaging across Public Affairs, Information Operations, Military Information Support Operations, cyberspace operations, space operations, and other information-related capabilities.
Conduct analysis of the information environment to identify relevant trends in public messaging, media narratives, and audience behavior, and contribute findings that inform narrative alignment and communication posture.
Support the development of communication synchronization matrices, narrative frameworks, and media engagement recommendations.
Apply working knowledge of Department of Defense authorities, policy, and ethical standards to maintain compliant Public Affairs planning and execution.
Contribute to identification of risks associated with adversary exploitation, inaccurate messaging, or misalignment across information functions.
Participate in working groups, boards, and planning forums to support assessments of Public Affairs effects and integration with broader OIE and Irregular Warfare assessment processes.
Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics by producing timely Public Affairs planning products and supporting coordinated messaging across the designated area of responsibility.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience. Years of comparable experience can be used in lieu of degree. (HS diploma 8+ years, Associates 6+ years, Masters 3+ years)
Must have a current/activate TS/SCI clearance or higher
An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.
Salary Range: $63,600.00 - $111,300.00
