We're seeking a Senior Design/Build Estimator — a strategic problem-solver who excels at conceptual estimating, manages risk with confidence, and builds strong, lasting client and subcontractor relationships. This role bridges early client conversations with seamless field execution in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. What You’ll Do Develop accurate, competitive estimates for commercial and industrial projects of varying scale, collaborating closely with Business Development and Preconstruction teams. Lead the Design/Build process: conduct project assessments, create conceptual budgets, and clearly communicate the "basis of estimate" to preconstruction, project management, and field teams. Identify and mitigate risks while navigating material/labor market fluctuations to protect and enhance project margins. Build and maintain strong relationships with key subcontractors and suppliers (especially Steel, Concrete, and MEP trades). Present clear, professional bid packages and cost models to clients and stakeholders. What You Bring Experience: 10+ years in commercial/industrial construction estimating, with strong preference for Design/Build delivery methods. Technical Expertise: Proficiency with Sage Estimating (Timberline), Bluebeam, Microsoft Office suite, and comfort leveraging AI tools for takeoff and analysis. Local Knowledge: Deep understanding of Central Ohio jurisdictions, permitting processes, building codes, and the regional subcontractor/supplier market. Skills & Mindset: Excellent communication and presentation abilities — you can translate complex estimates into clear, compelling narratives. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.
