ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for a Part-Time Ultrasound Technologist I for our Outpatient location in Aston, PA.
Shift:
Day shift 20 hours per week and other hours as needed.
Weekends as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Demonstrates complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of Ultrasound equipment, radiology supported computer systems, and CD burners.
• Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in ACR and state licenses. Complies with Joint Commission regulations.
• Demonstrates ability to provide technologist’s tentative readings as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in assisting physicians during invasive procedures.
• Enters accurate patient study information into the clinical care systems.
• Assist with the coordination of workflow and patient care activities.
• Obtain clinical history regarding reason for examination, completes necessary
measurement documentation and obtains appropriate consent.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Uses 3 patient identifiers at all times.
• Actively assists in the learning process of students and new staff in departmental procedures and quality control.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Completion of two-year program in Ultrasound Sonography is required.
• CPR Certification
• An Associate’s degree is preferred for this position.
• Yearly PEEPS certification required for proper and safe positioning and transfer of patients.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• ARDMS registered at minimum in Abdomen: RDMS(AB) and/or OB/GYN: RDMS(OB/GYN).
