Front Desk Associate

Residence Inn by Marriott, Traverse City, MI, United States


We’re looking for a reliable and friendly Front Desk Agent to join our team at the brand new Residence Inn Traverse City. As one of the first faces our guests will see, you’ll play an important role in setting the tone for their stay—making them feel welcome, supported, and right at home. If you enjoy helping people, staying organized, and being part of a close-knit team, we’d love to hear from you.

Candidate availability must align for a combination of the following shifts:

7AM - 3PM

3PM - 11PM

What You’ll Do:

Greet guests with a warm, professional attitude and assist with check-in and check-out.

Manage reservations, cancellations, and updates using our booking system.

Answer guest questions and share information about the hotel and Traverse City area.

Help resolve guest concerns calmly and efficiently to ensure a great experience.

Complete daily shift checklist and report necessary items to management

Keep the front desk area tidy and stocked with necessary supplies.

Handle transactions for items purchased from The Market, and ensuring it is regularly stocked

Work closely with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are guest-ready.

Handle incoming calls and guest requests with care and professionalism.

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience working in hotel front desk is highly preferred.

Previous experience with a Marriott Brand is a plus

Great communication skills and a natural customer-first mindset.

Comfortable using computers and willing to learn hotel systems (we’ll train you).

Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to stay calm under pressure.

Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends or nights as needed.

Bonus: Familiarity with FOSSE or other hotel systems, and/or bilingual skills.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certifications in hospitality preferred
