Human Resources Manager
Voyager Industries, Inc., Saint Paul, MN, United States
$65,000 – $90,000/year | Full-Time | Onsite
Who We Are
At Voyager Industries, we build adventure, Bear Track Trailers, Yetti Fish Houses, Titan Deck, Voyager Dock, Black Line Conversions, and Voyager Aluminum. Our four Minnesota campuses in Brandon, Evansville, Staples, and Pine River work together to design, engineer, and manufacture products built for the outdoors.
We’re a small-town company with a big mission: empower our employees, show up for our customers, and give back to our community. If you love Minnesota’s four seasons as much as we do, and you love showing up for people even more, keep reading.
The Role
We’re looking for a
Human Resources Manager
who sees HR as a partnership, not a policy desk.
This is a one-person HR department, which means you’ll have real ownership over the people side of the business, from hiring and onboarding to employee relations, benefits, PFML, FMLA administration, compliance, and everything in between. You’ll work closely with our leadership team and travel weekly to our other campus locations.
If you’re someone who genuinely cares about the people on the floor, not just the paperwork, this is the role for you.
Salary:
$65,000 – $90,000 depending on experience
Location:
Brandon, MN (onsite, with weekly travel to Evansville, Staples, and Pine River — mileage reimbursed)
What You’ll Do
Strategic HR & Talent
Partner with leadership on talent strategy, workforce planning, and succession
Analyze compensation and benefits trends; work with our broker to keep our offerings competitive
Drive recruiting efforts for entry-level through professional and technical roles
Employee Relations & Support
Be the go-to resource for employees and leaders on HR questions, pay, PTO, benefits, time reporting, and more
Handle employee relations matters including complaints, investigations, and conflict resolution
Manage FMLA, PFML, and Short-Term Disability administration
Compliance & Operations
Maintain and update the employee handbook and company policies
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Complete mandated reporting accurately and on time (EEO-1, Form 5500, etc.)
Maintain employee records in ADP Workforce Now and Voyager’s ERP system
Culture & Recognition
Lead and support the Voyager Fun Force employee engagement team
Maintain and develop employee recognition programs
Facilitate new hire orientation and ongoing training
Represent Voyager at unemployment hearings as needed
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
2–3 years of HR experience
Strong knowledge of federal and state employment law
Experience with ADP (ADP Workforce Now a plus)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication skills, written, verbal, and in front of a group
Ability to travel weekly to other MN campus locations
It’d be great (but not required) if you also have:
Manufacturing HR experience
Experience as a sole HR practitioner
A good sense of humor, we take our work seriously, not ourselves
What We Offer
Full-time, benefits-eligible position
Mileage reimbursement for campus travel
Apply today. We’d love to hear from someone who believes HR is about caring for people when they need it most.
Voyager Industries is an equal opportunity employer.
