Maintenance Coordinator | Plant City | Hiring Immediately
Shift
1st Shift - 7:00am - 3:00pm (Weekends as Needed) Monday - Friday

Purpose Of The Job
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the development of a reliability-based maintenance strategy, based on preventative and predictive maintenance. This individual will work directly with the Maintenance Team Leader to build a reliable and effective CMMS system and maintenance team. The Maintenance Coordinator will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. This will be a split role with approximately 50% of time spent managing the CMMS System and 50% hands on PM work, training and managing the PM techs. The Maintenance Coordinator contributes to plant goals by increasing labor productivity, reducing maintenance costs and improving equipment reliability, through detailed job plans, coordinating scheduling with other departments, and ensuring work order data integrity. This role requires knowledge of storeroom function, inventory management and parts distribution. It serves as the central point of contact for all maintenance repair and operations (MRO) materials management system and supports plant level Continuous Improvement, Lean, Root Cause Analysis and Six Sigma projects where applicable.
Specific Job Activities
Demonstrate EAM proficiency utilizing the Materials Management and Maintenance modules of the CMMS
Convert work requests to work orders in the CMMS/EAM system
Review and close out completed work orders
Update equipment history and other pertinent information
Update PM task lists for relevance
Continuously improve preventative and predictive maintenance activities using key performance indicators and feedback
Approve and prioritize new work order requests; analyze work order feedback
Ensure accuracy of information on new work requests before converting to a work order
Use historical data to estimate labor hours and provide cost estimates (labor, material, outside services)
Provide up-to-date workload status to optimize plant-wide priorities and manpower usage
Support planned and scheduled maintenance with high service levels
Collaborate with Warehouse, Purchasing, Engineering and Vendors for planning and pre-scheduling
Plan jobs and create required job information packages for scheduled work
Prepare and communicate job planning packages to all involved and affected personnel
Determine actual sequence of work and required permits, steps and follow-up
Initiate requisitions for planned jobs
Prepare a preliminary weekly schedule for the next work week
Facilitate the weekly scheduling meeting with Department Managers, Maintenance Manager and Production Planner
Communicate status of open work orders and provide feedback on completed work orders
Demonstrate knowledge of company purchasing procedures
Coordinate and follow-up delivery of special equipment from vendors
Lead the MRO Materials Team
Exchange planning information with Planners from other facilities
Provide vendor contacts for parts cost and availability
Arrange support personnel, contractors and equipment for upcoming week’s jobs
Update drawings, parts lists and job steps when necessary
Establish and maintain a Master Maintenance Schedule for preventive and predictive maintenance (PPM)
Input/update asset information in the CMMS/EAM system
Allocate/reserve stock parts for scheduled jobs in CMMS/EAM
Coordinate material reserves, staging and delivery to align with the schedule
