
NUWCDIVNWPT Network Engineering support

Overview
Arcfield is seeking an organized, reliable, and driven Network Engineer to work as part of our field service team to install, troubleshoot, and repair data networks at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) in Newport, RI. The engineer will work internally as part of the IT support team and externally to provide networking solutions for the organization\'s clients.
Responsibilities
Install all new hardware, systems, and software for networks
Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment and devices
Configure / software upgrades on routers, switches, firewalls and other network hardware
Plan and support network and computing infrastructure
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problems and outages
Schedule updates and upgrades
Document network problems and resolutions for future reference
Qualifications
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Available to work outside of regular working hours and weekends
Advanced experience with Cisco IOS and deploying Cisco routers/switches
Minimum two years\' experience with computer hardware installation and repair
Hands-on experience implementing and administering network devices — firewalls, routers, VPN and backup applications
Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA CASP
BS and 0-2 years experience or HS and 6-8 years experience
Travel required within the United States and internationally (Bahamas / twice a year, up to two weeks at a time)
Ability to obtain a US passport; active passport preferred
Military or government experience preferred but not necessary
Position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance with the US government; active security clearance preferred
Additional Skills Of Interest
Exposure to Cisco SDA-Fabric environments
Hands-on with Cisco DNA automation features
Experience implementing or supporting Cisco ISE policies

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (for remote opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
