
HEAVY DUTY EQUIPMENT/ TRUCK MECHANIC (SWING SHIFT)

Responsibilities
Help maintain and repair construction trucks and equipment, including hydraulic repair, brake work, electrical repairs and welding
May perform service repairs in the field
May have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of units from small fleet vehicles, class 8 trucks/trailers, construction equipment and large mining machines
Complete all paperwork that may be necessary
Must have own journeyman hand tools, but Knife River does provide large tools and has a replacement policy
Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed
Other duties assigned as needed
Hours
4:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Must have the ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, off shifts and weekends.
Compensation
$26.91 - $47.11 per hour. Wages reflect a $3.00 swing-shift differential.
Minimum Qualifications
Previous mechanical experience on class 8 trucks, trailers and equipment
Strong troubleshooting skills
Welding and fabrication experience desirable
Clean driving record
Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen
Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members
