Instructional Design Supervisor

Work Arrangement
This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Austin, Detroit, Mountain View or Warren, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at a minimum.

Job Summary
The Instructional Design Supervisor will lead the instructional design team in developing innovative and effective learning solutions that align with organizational goals. This role involves managing projects, mentoring and upskilling team members, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement in instructional design processes, with a focus on emerging tech and AI integration into course development.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Manage, mentor and coach the instructional design team, ensuring high performance, professional growth and upskilling to latest industry trends.

Project Oversight: Plan, prioritize, and supervise instructional design projects to meet deadlines and quality standards; be a thought partner to help remove barriers and solve problems.

Strategy Development: Develop and implement instructional design strategies aligned with organizational objectives and learner needs.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, leadership, and cross-functional teams to identify learning needs and deliver impactful solutions.

Quality Assurance: Ensure instructional materials adhere to best practices, design standards, and adult learning principles that are cutting edge with latest industry trends.

Technology Integration: Drive the adoption of cutting‑edge tools and technologies to enhance learning experiences.

Evaluation: Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs, recommending adjustments as needed.

Budget Management: Manage resources and budgets effectively to optimize project outcomes.

Qualifications

5-7+ years of experience.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Proven experience in instructional design with working examples to show.

Proven experience in team management.

Expertise in instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning theories.

Proficiency in e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate Rise & Storyline, Vyond, Camtasia, etc.) and Cornerstone LMS.

Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

Ability to access talent and align the right team member to the right project.

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $88,100 to $140,700 . The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

Bonus Potential
An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.

The selected candidate will be required to travel up to 25% for this role. This job is not eligible for relocation benefits; any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
