Job Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs of Ball Mills and SAG Mills, gear boxes, centrifugal and vertical turbine pumps, vibrating screens, jaw crushers, cone crushers and conveyor systems.
Perform a variety of building maintenance tasks.
Able to work without direct supervision.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas.
Other tasks as assigned.
Location
Stillwater Mine - Nye, MT
Schedule
5x4, 4x5 - 11.5-hour days
Qualifications and Skills
Millwright or similar background with welding and mechanical experience.
Housekeeping standards maintained to high level.
Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
General blueprint knowledge.
Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
Must meet the Task Matrix Proficiency Levels for a Mill Mechanic 1 or 2.
Must meet the Physical Requirements for the Mechanic - Mill Maintenance position.
Understanding of and strong commitment to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Preferred
Previous mining experience.
Education & Experience
High School Education or GED.
