Summary
The instructor will work with eligible students to provide instruction in non-credit manufacturing and skill development courses. The instructor will work with the program team to ensure proper tracking of student progress, development, and employment preparation. The instructor reports to the Program Director. The class schedule is daytime Tuesday-Thursday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Promote safety culture and safe work environment for students and staff.
Teach courses in accordance with the master course outline and within the scheduled timeframe.
Perform Student Assessments in the Lab to meet hands‑on skill development goals.
Recommend changes to the instructional programs and curricula as appropriate.
Maintain and submit appropriate academic records in accordance with program policies.
Maintain instructional effectiveness through ongoing self‑evaluation and incorporation of current developments in instructional and learning.
Assist the College in maintaining technology, facilities, and equipment.
Plan availability of supplies, textbooks, and lab equipment in cooperation with the Program Director.
Prepare academic schedules, specifically for manufacturing technology courses.
Respond to student needs in collaboration with the Program Director and other College staff.
Coordinate program activities with classroom schedules.
Prepare recommended schedules for all specialized courses.
Act as liaison to LCCC Faculty, ensuring instruction meets requirements for students to transition into advanced certificate and degree programs.
Encourage and assist students in utilizing self‑service features available through the online system.
Qualifications – Required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in workforce education and development or a related discipline; degree in mechanical or electrical engineering disciplines.
One or more current Master trade licenses in either the electrical or mechanical trade within the state of Pennsylvania.
Minimum of 10 years teaching experience in a public school system or an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 10 years practical experience in either the mechanical or electrical trades.
Act 153 clearances (Acts 34, 151, 114) or ability to obtain them.
Current Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in vocational education.
Authorized OSHA trainer in both Construction and Industry.
Qualifications – Preferred
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Familiarity with Amatrol training environment, equipment and software.
Additional professional certifications or training that enhance instruction delivery.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Desire to help others learn and perform.
High degree of patience for different learning styles.
Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills to interact with diverse audiences.
Exceptional organization and planning skills.
Ability to collaborate with others and function well in a teamwork‑oriented environment while taking initiative.

Physical Demands
Stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk and hear frequently; regularly lift or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 35 pounds; require close and distance vision.
