General Description - Physical Therapy Clinical, Part-time support the course implementation that is conducted by the full-time and adjunct faculty members.
Characteristics, Duties, and Responsibilities - Usual responsibilities of Physical Therapy Clinical, Part-time include the following, with differentiation depending on the program and courses:
Collaboration with full-time faculty members to implement desired clinical lab instruction.
Demonstration of required psychomotor skills.
Supervision of students' skill practice.
Correction of inaccurate or unsafe skill performance by students.
Evaluation of critical skill performance.
Reporting to course faculty on student performance.
Education Requirements - Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program required or Doctorate in Physical Therapy. NJ license in the discipline required. Must meet State and/or National guidelines for program implementation in the discipline.
Experience - Be able to present nationally-certified programs.
Competencies and Skills Required - Be able to meet weekly course objectives, such as skill performance testing.
Physical Demands and Work Environment - This position's duties are normally performed in a typical interior/residence work environment, based on the activity scheduled. Some physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. No or very limited exposure to physical risk. Some travel required.
Salary - $50.00 per hour
Terms of Employment - Flexible schedule to meet department needs. Some evening, weekends, and extended hours will be required. Not to exceed 25 hours per week. Ability and willingness to travel on short notice to all on and off-campus sites as needed by the college. Employee must establish primary residency in New Jersey within one year of appointment unless an exemption applies.
