Role Summary
The MIE Engineer 3 will complete increasingly complex mechanical, electrical and field construction activities. This position will be responsible for collecting and assembling data, developing estimates and generating systems and bid analysis.
Responsibilities
Completes entry level and routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
Develop budgetary MIE estimates, using automated M/E estimating system.
Review of mechanical and electrical options and completes systems analysis for select projects.
Develop the mechanical and electrical scopes of work used to coordinate during the bid process.
Assists in completion of bid analysis and provides input during the subcontractor selection process.
Completes increasingly complex mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
Develops budgetary M/E estimates, based upon program and schematic design information.
Reviews mechanical and electrical options recommend best system for the project.
Coordinates the mechanical and electrical scopes of work during the bid process.
Develops sequencing requirements to meet the schedule requirements.
Autonomy & Decision-Making: Makes decisions on routine matters, provides recommendations to supervisor and refers all exceptions to supervisor.
Reviews and approves shop drawings prior to submitting to design team.
Generates and issues the Commissioning Plan for approval to the appropriate parties.
Verifies deficiencies are corrected and submits commissioning documentation to owners.
Creates M/E tools and innovative solutions to continuously improve processes and work products.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience
5+ years construction and/or engineering experience (Preferred).
